We hope you are all keeping well despite the ongoing challenges the pandemic has presented us.
Firstly, we wanted to say a huge thank you for all that you have done this year, and that you and your staff, or your members or volunteers continue to do. It has been a tumultuous year for everyone and it’s only through banding together that we’ve been able to battle through and achieve so much against the odds.
Secondly, we are incredibly proud to announce that as the Frimley system was set a whopping target of circa 70,000 vaccinations last week - bearing in mind our previous weekly throughput was in the c. 35,000 range, this was a huge challenge - we actually achieved 75,182 vaccinations last week and were number 1 in the country for exceeding our targets as of Saturday, (we achieved 110.4%, a clear 5% ahead of the next best).
This shows the dedication of everyone involved in the programme to achieve this has been phenomenal – and we really want to offer a massive thank you again to all who have been involved. We still have much to do before the end of December and to get to 80% penetration, however the achievements of the past week show very clearly that we are all up to the task!
Finally, we wanted to wish you all and your families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We know that many of us will be working harder than ever over the coming weeks, yet we hope everyone has an opportunity to rest and to spend time in the company of loved ones, to switch off from work and to enjoy some traditional festivities.
If you don’t celebrate Christmas, we wish you a happy and restful holiday period.
We look forward to catching up with many of you in the New Year.
In the meantime, stay safe and stay healthy, and here’s hoping for better things to come.
