Farnborough Centre for Health

For a number of years, NHS commissioners in North East Hampshire and Farnham were working to establish a dedicated health facility to serve the people of Farnborough.

A number of the town's GP surgeries were in need of modernisation and expansion and with the introduction of integrated care teams working to support the whole community, appropriate premises were needed.

After considerable investigation and analysis, Voyager House, an office building in Apollo Rise, Southwood, was identified as meeting all the requirements.

North East Hampshire and Farnham Clinical Commissioning Group formed a locally-unprecedented partnership with Rushmoor Borough Council to obtain the building.

Architects were appointed and despite the Covid-19 pandemic, in 2020 work began to convert the building.

In October 2020 Farnborough Centre for Health opened its doors to patients and health service users.

The building is a home to:

  • Voyager Family Health (a GP practice formed through the merger of Southwood Practice and Milestone Surgery). The practice also has a dedicated Urgent Care Centre.
  • The Farnborough Integrated Care Team
  • The Abbey Team of Midwives
  • TalkPlus (a Talking Therapies service)
